Georgia HOSA Scholarship Application 2024
All applicants must complete and submit this application no later than February 18, 2024. Applications will not be accepted if submitted in any format other than the online form.
Eligibility:
Scholarships are available to a senior secondary student member or postsecondary student member who plans to continue or further his/her education in the health care field.
There is no limit to the number of applicants per school
Georgia HOSA has a partnership with the Georgia Hospital Association, GHA, for purpose of supporting the growth and development of our healthcare workforce.
GHA provides annual funding to support post-secondary scholarships (administered by HOSA) as well as stipends for students to participate in HOSA meetings such as the Annual International Leadership Conference. The post-secondary scholarship, the GHA Hogan Scholarship, is awarded to students through a competitive application process to Georgia HOSA students who have experience working or volunteering at a GHA member hospital.
Although the amount and number of scholarships may vary, funds are generally provide two, $1,000 post-secondary scholarships.
International Leadership Travel Scholarships
Georgia HOSA works with two foundations to provide scholarships to ILC competitors for registration and travel related to the 2024 International Leadership Conference. This is a need based scholarship intended to help SLC qualified competitors who would not be able to attend the ILC due to the cost associated with travel. This form should be completed by the advisor for the student. Deadline to apply April 26th.
Georgia Hospital Association is offering 5-$500Travel Scholarship
Georgia Healthcare Science Technology Education Foundation provides needs based scholarships. Amounts vary based on fundraising from previous year.
Requirements:
Advisor attestation of student need
Must be competing at ILC
